Daily Routine & Information

Security

On joining Nursery School all children are allocated a personal security number which is held in strict confidence. If you are unable to collect your child from Nursery School, it is essential that you inform the person collecting your child their security number. This system is in operation to protect us all, but most particularly to ensure the safety of the children.

Arrival at Nursery School

If your child is unsettled at school, you are very welcome to stay for as long as you like, but when you leave, please tell your child’s key worker. If you arrive early, please stay with your child until the start of the session as we are not covered by insurance until that time. If you are going to be late picking up your child from nursery, please telephone as soon as possible.

Refreshments

Our mid-morning break consists of milk or water and fruit or wholemeal toast. If your child does not drink these please bring a named flask with their choice.

Lunch Time

Children are welcome to stay for lunch, please supply your child with lunch in a named box. In view of vulnerability of this age range we request that either a cool box is put into the lunch box or alternatively remove any items which are temperature sensitive and put them in a named bag in the fridge.   We ask you not to put eggs (including savoury eggs) or nut products in your child’s lunch box due to allergies.

Birthdays

You are more than welcome to bring a cake or biscuits on the day nearest your child’s birthday as we find the children love to celebrate and share with others. Please hand it to a member of staff at the front door or put it straight into the kitchen so that we can monitor it.
